Cyclist’s ‘verbal abuse’ at Burger Kiosk sparks Police appeal

Friday 20 April 2018

Police are hunting a man alleged to have verbally abused a woman after her dog apparently urinated on his pedal cycle outside the Burger Kiosk.

The woman, who was with her young children, was reported as being left fearful for her safety, while her children were left “shaken and distressed” following the alleged incident on Tuesday at 18:20 outside the Bel Royal fast food premises.

Following his “outburst”, the man was then said to have “rode off in the direction of St Aubin” without a cycle helmet.

Police described the man described as being “6’2” tall, of slim build, with short grey hair, bushy eyebrows and a round face.”

“He spoke with an English accent, was wearing a grey top, dark trousers and had a black Adidas rucksack on his back,” they added. His bike was said to have featured a black frame with blue writing on it.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police on 612612 or make an anonymous report via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
