Damaged wall sparks ‘hit and run’ hunt

Monday 29 October 2018

Police are hunting for information on whether the collapse of a 4.5ft granite wall collapsed overnight as a result of a ‘hit and run’.

The boundary wall, which is opposite the entrance to Samares Manor on La Grande Route de St. Clement, was believed to have been damaged on Saturday around 09:30.

Police said that the 4.5ft-high structure had “collapsed” entirely and appeared to have been damaged by a vehicle.

They’re now looking to speak with anyone with any information and urge them to call 612612.

Anonymous reports can also be made via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or online.
