A defibrillator has been installed at the Lido after the "very sad loss of an elderly visitor last year."
The Havre des Pas venue said it was "thrilled" about the "permanent and publicly accessible" life-saving installation.
"After the very sad loss of an elderly visitor last year, we requested that a unit was installed onsite," the Lido team continued.
"We hope that this is never put to use, but if it is ever needed, it is there to save a life in the future."
It's one of a number of more recent upgrades to the Lido, which in April secured the support of States Members to have its leaks fixed and its toilets kept open year-round.
All politicians supported a proposal by Constable Simon Crowcroft to set up a ‘steering group’ of politicians, residents, the current operator of the café/event venue and other interested parties to “maximise the benefit of the lido to the community and to resolve any issues arising in future”.
