An elderly pedestrian remains in hospital after reportedly being hit by a van last week, Police have said in an appeal for more information.

Officers said the reported collision happened around 15:20 last Friday (8 July) on the corner of Bond Street and Conway Street.

“The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and is currently in hospital receiving treatment.”

The Force added that they “would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the collision or the vehicle immediately before it happened.”
