Elderly woman in hospital after collision with cyclist

Wednesday 29 November 2017

A woman in her 80s is being treated in hospital after she collided with a cyclist on a pedestrian crossing opposite Waitrose at Red Houses.

The lady's name hasn't been released but she is said to be in a stable condition.

The Police want to speak to anybody who may have seen the collision, as they believe plenty of people were in the area at the time, around 10:40, last Saturday.

The elderly woman was heading towards the car park opposite Waitrose.

Both her and the cyclist were hurt, but only the woman was taken to hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 612612 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
