Two of the three possible elections in St. Brelade are uncontested in this year's general election, meaning it is only voters for Deputy in St. Brelade No 2 who will actually go to the polls.

The current constable, Steve Pallett, is going for a senatorial seat, with Mike Jackson replacing him after Marilyn Carré withdrew.

Likewise in St. Brelade No 1 another 'new' face, former Deputy John Young, was returned unopposed, after the sitting Deputy, Murray Norton, decided not to seek re-election.

But there is now a four-way fight for two places in St. Brelade No 2. Sitting deputies Reform Jersey's Monty Tadier, and Graham Truscott are being challenged by Reform Jersey candidate Garel Tucker and independent Tony Pike.

Garel Tucker was unfortunately ill in hospital when these recordings were made.

All parishioners in St Brelade – like parishioners across the island – will also have the opportunity to choose up to eight senators from a list of 17 candidates.

Voting takes place on Wednesday 16 May. Parishioners living in St. Brelade No 1 vote at the parish hall, those living in No 2 vote at Communicare.
