Along with eleven other parishes, the voters of Trinity won’t be going to the polls to elect their constable, with the current post-holder Philip Le Sueur being returned to the States unopposed.
But they will be choosing a new Deputy, from two potential candidates.
The current Deputy Anne Pryke chose not to seek re-election, so whoever gets in is going to be one of the ‘new’ faces in island politics. The two candidates are Hugh Raymond and David Richardson.
There’ll be a hustings for the potential deputies at the parish hall at 19:30 on Thursday 3 May.
All parishioners in Trinity – like parishioners across the island – will also have the opportunity to choose up to eight senators from a list of 17 candidates. Voting will be at the parish hall. Election day is Wednesday 16 May.
Bailiwick Express would like to thank the students of Highlands College Media Department who helped film some of these election videos.
Tomorrow: St Peter
