Emergency services are currently working on the cliffs at Bonne Nuit to rescue a casualty who has fallen on the rocks.
Islanders have been urged to avoid the area due to the presence of many emergency vehicles in the area.
The Fire Service said they are using rope rescue equipment and the Inshore Rescue Boat, and working with the paramedics as well as the RNLI to get the casualty to safety.

The incident was reported just before 07:00 and it appears emergency services are still on the scene.
INCIDENT UPDATE: a multi agency response from Fire, Ambulance, Police and Coastguard are assisting in the rescue of 1 injured casualty.
