International show jumper Paul Crago has been in the Island to train young hopefuls and experienced riders.
The Jersey Branch of the British Show Jumping Association brought Crago to the Island to offer regular, affordable and expert tuition to riders of all levels.
So far, 28 members have taken part in Academy training since it was launched in June, and the next training sessions are arranged for next month.
The Vice-Chair of the BSJA Jersey, Joanne Patterson, said: "I have had some very positive feedback from both juniors and seniors who have been to our first Academy training sessions and I can see they are learning fast.
“The Academy is a fun way for our members to improve their show jumping skills, and we will also be running classroom sessions with specially produced booklets to monitor progress.
"We are especially lucky to have Paul Crago as part of our teaching team. He has competed successfully across Europe and the UK, including London Olympia, the Horse of the Year Show and the Royal International Horse Show.”
