Ports of Jersey has pledged to take action after posters imitating the official Covid-19 Yellow Card scheme in order to gain islanders' vaccine information were spotted in Jersey Airport.
The posters, which are a near-exact copy of the Government’s official Yellow Card Scheme branding, were spotted at airport arrivals over the weekend.
A spokesperson for Ports of Jersey said they did not give permission for the posters to be displayed and will be removing any posters found in their facilities.
The posters for the ‘Channel Islands Vaccine Reactions Scheme’ (CIVRS) started appearing in both Jersey and Guernsey last month, inviting islanders to share their vaccine experiences.

The posters imitate the official public health branding but instead encourage the public to report side effects of the covid-19 vaccine to the CIVRS, rather than the official Government MHRA Yellow Card scheme.
However, the CIVRS is not associated with the MHRA, and islanders were warned not to share their medical data with the anonymous group.

The group describes itself as a “collective” acting on behalf of Channel Island communities to “protect and promote public health and patient safety”.
The group say they aim to “raise questions” about the pandemic and “the legitimacy of the current emergency powers that have been granted that undermine our human rights, civil liberties and freedoms.”

In an earlier Express report, Jersey’s Deputy Medical Officer for Health, Dr Ivan Muscat MBE, said the Government was “aware” of the CIVRS website, but were not using or endorsing it.
He said it remained “vital” that islanders report any side effects from the vaccine - but through the MHRA’s official and longstanding Yellow Card Scheme.
