Owners of a Chinese takeaway across the water were shocked when a hungry cusssssstomer turned up to order.
The corn snake was discovered at the Dragon Chinese Takeaway on 21 July.
Fortunately, the slippery fellow was found to be "in good health" and Guernsey's Animals' Shelter - the GSPCA - were able to track down and reunite the snake with its owner the very same day.
Sharing the story yesterday,GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne noted: "Thankfully with the warm weather it would have certainly helped keep the corn snake in good condition."
It's not the first time the GSPCA has had to deal with a snake in an unusual spot.

“It is rare a day goes by that we don’t help a stray or indeed many strays but only a few snakes each year... It is the first stray snake from a Chinese, although one did get rescued from the Nautique a few years ago."
