Rotary will be serving up bowls of porridge all over town to mark World Porridge Day and to highlight the plight of children living through the drought in Africa today.
They'll be dishing out the oaty breakfast at the Pomme D’Or, West Centre, Charing Cross, Brooke Street and the Esplanade and a few businesses will have their own porridge stations at work.
This year there's a porridge delivery service for those who work a bit further out.
Youngsters have also been getting a taste of what it's like for children living in Africa today. Around 600 primary schoolchildren have been served up a bowl of porridge and learning how important the meal is for youngsters hit by the drought in the South of the country this year.
Rotary cooked up breakfast for children at Grand Vaux, Samarès, and St. Luke's primary schools and Rotarian Ruth Smith has been speaking to them in their Assemblies about the charity Mary's Meals who they are supporting and who feed more than a million of the world's hungriest children every day.
