The Jersey branch of the British Heart Foundation has announced the finalists for this year's Jersey Heart Awards, which will be hosted at the Radisson Blu Hotel on 24 February.
The Jersey Heart Awards have been designed by the British Heart Foundation to recognize the outstanding contribution of Islanders playing a leading role in the local fight against cardiovascular disease, one of Jersey’s biggest killers.
Categories cover a range of different life-saving roles within the community, from those living with a condition and literally fighting the disease, to third-party individuals offering support and life-changing knowledge and advice to Islanders of all ages.
Summer Lister, Fundraising Manager for the BHF in the Channel Islands commented: “It is so important for us to recognize the heroes we have in Jersey, fighting on a daily basis against one of the Island’s biggest killers – heart disease. As well as fundraising for our life-saving research, there are some truly amazing individuals who go above and beyond to support and encourage healthy hearts within the community. As a collective, our mission is to win the fight against this heartless disease and Islanders are absolutely integral to this fight!”
The finalists are:
