A fire broke out in the room of a resident of St. Ewold's Residential Home this morning.
The Parish of St. Helier confirmed in a short statement this morning that no one was hurt.
All residents were taken out of the facility while the fire service put it out.
Ambulance crews also attended to help move residents to a safe area.
Those affected by the fire will now be moved to alternative rooms.
St. Helier Constable Simon Crowcroft commented: “I am extremely grateful to the staff at St Ewold's and the emergency services for their quick and professional response to this incident, and very relieved that no one was hurt.”
Earlier this year, the nursing home, which specialises in dementia care, was undergoing a £8m refurbishment project, which saw it equipped with a cinema, hairdressers and nail salon, a bar and a library to bring a "vacation feeling" to residents.
