Jersey Police are investigating the cause of a fire in a derelict wing of St Saviour's Hospital over the weekend.
Just before 15:00 on Sunday, members of the public said they saw smoke coming from a hospital window, and that it looked as if chairs and the curtains were on fire.
When the fire service broke in, they found a small fire, but fortunately the room was empty and so no one was hurt. They got the fire under control in less than an hour.
Watch Commander Richard Ryan said: “The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, however, an investigation is being carried out with the States Police”
