Properties were flooded at Beaumont and Emergency Services called to help after heavy rain pounded the island last night.
Much of the flooding was concentrated around the bottom of Beaumont Hill, with the Fire Service receiving multiple calls for assistance.
Motorists were advised to stay away from the area near the Goose on the Green pub.
One islander reported on social media that back of her house had been flooded and that an Indian restaurant in the area had also suffered as a result of the heavy downpour.
"It was all flooded and cars were making it worse as they drive so fast... The firemen had to help get a lot of the water away, as the drains where all blocked and blew the cover off," she said.
In an update around 22:00, the Fire and Rescue Service reported that the flooding incident was "closed" and had been handed over to Department for Infrastructure officials.
Meanwhile, a second Fire and Rescue Service crew responded to a report of flooding at a home in St. Peter.
Commenting online, other islanders noted flooding issues in the area of La Route de la Trinité.
