A local family charity this week hosted a 'graduation' ceremony to send young islanders who completed its programmes on to the next stage of life – to nursery school.
Brighter Futures' annual ceremony aims to showcase some of the activities the children have enjoyed with their parents and carers during the charity's 'Growing Together' and 'Raising Early Achievement in Literacy' programmes.
Certificates were handed out by the charity's patron, Dr Karen Kyd, and attendees were treated to cake and juice to celebrate.
The ceremony took place at The Bridge, a multi-service provision for families and young people which provides access to a range services in one building – including Brighter Futures.
