It's not every day you'll come face to face with a silverback gorilla in the middle of town.
But Hannah Gibault impressed Durrell so much with her gorilla-like action skills, she's got the job dressing up and promoting the wildlife park in King Street this Summer.
She's one of two Islanders who'll be monkey'ing around in King Street, every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, come rain or shine, handing out leaflets with their new keeper.
Durrell's Head of Marketing Kelly Barker said: "Both gorillas were interviewed and did us proud carrying out gorilla based actions via Skype! One did this in front of colleagues in a bank and one in her bedroom. Both were very impressive so we had to pick them both for the job.
"What better way to grab attention for Durrell this Summer than having these two 'grabbing' a visitor and making them laugh out loud!"
Hannah says she's looking forward to promoting the Trust: "I just really love Durrell and the work that they do with the animals and it just makes me really happy to be helping them out.
"I'll be messing around, monkey'ing around, tapping people on the shoulder, beating my tummy."
The weather might have been a bit miserable for her first shift but Hannah is one Islander glad of the cooler temperatures as she said it's very warm being on the inside of a gorilla!
