A man in his 70s has died after a single car collision in Guernsey.
Guernsey Police confirmed that a crash had occurred at the bottom of Val des Terres today, and that the driver was taken to Princess Elizabeth Hospital.
However, the man – who has not been named – died shortly after.
"The man driving the vehicle, who was in his 70s, passed away at the PEH a short while ago," officers said.
"Our thoughts are with his family at this sad and difficult time."
Enquiries into what happened are continuing and police said: "The South Esplanade and Val des Terres continues to be closed while collision investigation work is carried out."
The Force are currently seeking witnesses to the collision.
