Half-baked?

One of the two Greggs stores in town is closing down.

The bakers – run by retailers Sandpiper in Jersey – opened in January with two town outlets and one in Les Quennevais.

But Sandpiper say that there isn’t enough business to justify keeping two stores open in St Helier.

The Colomberie store will close at the end of October, but the closure will not mean any job losses. Around 30 jobs were created when the stores opened at the start of the year.
