The former Deputy Head of St. John's School has been charged with making and distributing indecent images of children.
James John Matthews appeared in the Magistrate’s Court via video link on Friday 11 June.
Accused of three counts of making indecent images of children and two of distributing indecent images, Mr Matthews' case was deemed too serious to be dealt with in the Magistrate's Court by Assistant Magistrate Peter Harris, and subsequently committed to the Royal Court.
Advocate Nicholas Miere represented Mr Matthews, who is remanded in custody.
