Motorists are being warned to expect delays at the eastern end of the Tunnel from today, as engineers begin work on the next phase of improving the Green Street roundabout.
Traffic restrictions and closures will be required over the next four weeks as work is carried out.
Temporary blocks will be replaced by a permanent kerb-line before the roundabout can be entirely resurfaced; the Department for Infrastructure is also setting up a new zebra crossing.
On weekdays, work will be undertaken between 09:15 and 15:00, starting again at 19:00 until 23:00, the roundabout will be open with traffic restrictions in place.
Part-closure of the roundabout will be necessary on Sundays only between 08:00 and 20:00. Only the east or westbound direction across the roundabout will be closed at one time.
When the eastbound direction is closed, on 19 March, 26 March, 9 April, they'll be no access to Snow Hill Car Park.
The Department for Infrastructure says their goal is to improve the safety of all users, pedestrians and motorists, and to bring the roundabout up to a modern design standard.
