A group of islanders have completed a 412km cycle from Saint Malo to Paris in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey.
The seven cyclists organised this event in memory of their friend Craig Bell, who passed away from cancer in October 2021.
Craig’s brother, Graham, participated in the event and said: “Having experienced the support of Macmillan Jersey first hand, you hope that someone never has to rely on them, though sadly this isn’t the case and any fundraising us as a group can do goes a long way to help those in need.
"I cannot thank this group of guys enough."

Kevin Alway, Operations and Communications Lead for Macmillan Jersey, added: “Without islanders such as these we simply wouldn’t be able to provide the practical, emotional and wellbeing support to any islander affected by cancer.
"As an island-based charity with no funding from Macmillan UK nor the Government of Jersey, money such as this goes directly to supporting the services we offer to anyone in Jersey; be it those directly diagnosed, their friends, family or co-workers.
“Everyone at Macmillan Jersey would like to thank those who undertook this challenge and their supporters – we simply couldn’t do this without you.”
The group of cyclists continue their fundraising effort with a raffle on Friday 30 June at the Trafalgar Inn in St Aubin at 18:00.
There will be various prizes available including £500 cash, a six-month Strive gold membership, and a £150 Dunnell’s voucher.
