Over 1.7million passengers travelled through Jersey Airport last year – the highest level in almost 25 years.
Ports of Jersey says that air passenger numbers have been taking off steadily since 2013 and now they’ve reached their highest in nearly a quarter-century.
1,715,952 passengers set off on their travels via Jersey’s airport in 2019.
It comes as the airport prepares to have links with around 40 departure points across the British Isles and Europe.

Welcoming the latest statistics, Group CEO for Ports of Jersey Matt Thomas said: “We are really pleased to have delivered a sixth consecutive year of growth in passenger numbers through Jersey Airport. The connectivity provided by the airport is crucial, for our tourism industry, for business and importantly for residents who can enjoy regular access across mainland UK.
“Our route development team at Ports of Jersey works closely with Visit Jersey, Government, tourism and business associations to sell Jersey as a destination to airlines. In a very competitive market, these figures demonstrate that this Team Jersey approach is clearly working."
