A new dog-friendly café based at the iconic St. Peter windmill is hoping to blow customers away with its “field-to-table” offering.
Tony Sargeant, co-owner of the Jersey Kitchen, an outdoor catering business, has taken over the premises alongside Catherine Best jewellers with Head Chef Hector McDonald and his wife, Helen.
Tony described the opportunity as having come "out of the blue".
"We were never planning on opening our own café but the landlord phoned us and offered the opportunity and when we went to look at the place, we realised we had found a hidden gem," he said.

The Windmill premises also comes with a three vergée field, which the team are keen to use.
"We want to use the field to grow our veg and do 'field-to-table', which is very rare. We also would like to use the field to run occasional events which tie in with our outdoor catering," he said.
The Windmill will open in March, operating 09:00 until 17:30, Tuesday to Sundays.
