Still time to get stuck into a good book

Tuesday 02 September 2014

It’s not too late to turn your children into bookworms this summer.

Over 2,000 children have signed up to the Library’s Summer Reading Challenge this year and there’s one more week for those who haven’t to try to get through their Mythical Maze.

Children have to read a total of six library books and then talk to staff about them before they are given a neon green Mythical Maze wristband and they will get a medal and certificate at their primary school next term.

The Challenge is open to library members aged between 4 and 11 and ends a week today.

Children can register for the Challenge at Jersey Library, Les Quennevais Branch Library or on the Mobile. They’ll get a Mythical Maze folder and stickers for each of the six books they get stuck into.
