Jersey National Park is inviting islanders to get picnicking with a luxury twist this month to support local restaurants, while enjoying nature.
The 'Picnic in the Park' initiative coincides with the launch of the JNP’s photo competition, which is challenging Jersey residents to post “their best photos of their favourite spots or perhaps the spots that were most fun to get to.”
Once residents have their photo, they must tag @jerseynationalpark and add #jerseynationalpark on Facebook or Instagram, where they could end up winning a ‘Jersey National Park Experience’, such as diving at Bouley Bay or a £50 voucher for a Jersey Adventure activity.

Jim Hopley, Chairman of Jersey National Park, said: “Jersey National Park in conjunction with the Hospitality Association and Genuine Jersey are only too pleased to support Visit Jersey’s Rediscover Home campaign by launching two major initiatives supported by significant sponsorship from Islands for which we are most grateful.”
“During the month of August, we are inviting islanders as we exit much of lock-down to get out into nature for some headspace, exercise, fresh air and to appreciate all the National Park has to offer."
Watch: Jersey National Park is launching an initiative in August for local businesses to pack pre-made picnics for residents.
He continued: “Families, groups of friends and even organisations are invited to organise a Picnic in the Park, self-created or bought in from local hospitality suppliers. As a bonus, individuals are encouraged to record their events and share photographs of their favourite place in the Park, or somewhere they have newly discovered with an explanation as to why they feel it worthy.
"There are prizes to be won and much enjoyment to be had so get organised and enjoy.”
