The average cost of a home in Jersey has soared to more than £700,000 - and nearly all other types of property saw their highest mean prices to date.

Released by Statistics Jersey today, the latest House Price Index figures show that turnover of properties was 8% higher than it was a year ago.

Overall, the average price of a Jersey home stood at £709,000, more than doubling the UK figure of £294,000.

Broken down by home, the average house prices compared to the previous quarter were as follows...

One-bedroom flat

£370,000 ↑ (Up from £353,000)


Two-bedroom flat

£557,000 ↑ (Up from 536,000)


Two-bedroom house

£632,000  (Down from £664,000)


Three-bedroom house

£904,000 ↑ (Up from £853,000)


Four-bedroom house

£1.3m = (Little change)
