You'll soon be able to fly around the Island's lanes with Jersey's very own superhero.
Henry Cavill is running the Durrell Challenge on 15 May - a 13k race from People's Park in town to the Wildlife Park in Trinity.
Honorary Director Dr Lee Durrell said: “Durrell is incredibly lucky to have our ambassador, Henry Cavill, supporting the 13K Durrell Challenge. It will be an exciting race, especially as Henry has promised not to use any superpowers, so all competitors will have a chance to win!”
After crossing the finish line, the Hollywood A-lister will be staying at the Wildlife Park for Durrell's big family fun day from 11 am until 5.30 pm when there will be loads of entertainment for the whole family, keepers will be talking about the animals and there will be pop-up stalls showcasing the best of Jersey.
Anyone who manages to raise £1,000 or more in sponsorship will also get to mingle with Henry after the race in the VIP marquee and one lucky winner will get to drive off in Henry’s first car when his Peugeot 206 Grand Tourism 3 hatch back goes up for grabs in Durrell’s big raffle.
Entrance to the park on the day is free for all runners and unless you’re a Durrell member it’s £10 for adults and £5 for children. You need to get your tickets in advance from 365 tickets and members also need to register before the day.
