A talented 11-year-old dancer – who has already been named as the 'Under 12s UK Champion' – is hoping to hip-hop her way to the United Dance World Championships, but needs to secure sponsorship to help her achieve her dream.
Macy Parkinson has been training for eight years at local dance school, Essential Dance, and has represented Jersey twice in the Dance World Cup.
Macy’s mother and biggest supporter, Michaela Parkinson explained how her daughter has "always had a natural rhythm for dance" and would create her own dance routines from a young age.

Most recently, Macy competed in the 'primary school edition' of the Jersey Dance Awards.
Hosted by Jersey Sport at Haute Vallée school, the local competition saw over 150 students from 10 of the island's primary schools take to the stage.
Representing First Tower school, Macy choreographed her own dance routine and won first place in her category.
Michaela said that her daughter is "so dedicated" in her dance training, adding that she is "so proud of her everyday".

In June, Michaela and Macy travelled to Edinburgh for the United Dance Organisation competition, where the young dancer battled against other soloists to freestyle to the judge's choice of music.
Dancing her way through eight heats, Macy won first place and was awarded the title of 'Under 12s UK Champion' as well as a spot at the World Championships in Blackpool.

Macy is now looking for sponsorship to help her fund her trip to Blackpool at the end of August.
Michaela said: "She has built up a reputation in the dance community for her raw and unique talent and I would love to give her every possible chance of representing our island with this great opportunity."
