A Jerseyman with strong links to some of the most successful and well-known football clubs in the island is to take charge of the game locally.
Jean-Luc Desbois will take over the post of Jersey Football Association chief executive officer when Neville Davidson retires in early June.
Jean-Luc was born and brought up in Jersey and played football at First Tower, Rozel Rovers and St Paul's. Having spent 20 years in banking on the Island, he has also held posts in Singapore and Dubai. In 2007 he left banking to establish his own business and returned to Jersey in June 2017.
Phil Austin, President of the Jersey FA commented; “Jean-Luc’s passion for local football came through very clearly in the interview process and, allied to his strong business skills, we believe he is ideally suited to take on this challenging role.”
Jean-Luc added; “I am absolutely delighted to get back in to Jersey football at a very exciting time. I am looking forward to working with the football community at all levels and contributing towards the development of the game”.
