JT promises islanders speedy broadband connection whilst abroad

Sunday 30 July 2017

Holidaying JT customers can now enjoy the benefits of a speedier broadband connection while abroad.

Customers with the local telecommunications provider can now roam on 4G, meaning that they can have much faster download times whilst they are abroad.

Standard online activities such as downloading maps, accessing emails or sending large attachments are set to be “as quick and easy as it is at home” with the new 4G access.

Within the 28 countries in the EU, roaming charges have now been abolished. The slogan “roam like at home” has been central to the abolition of roaming charges. This means that you will be treated like you are in your own country when travelling in any given EU country.

In a similar fashion, JT has pledged to cut its roaming rates in the EU by 95%.
