Islanders are invited to a fundraising concert this evening to celebrate the beginning of the festive season whilst raising money for an art therapy charity.
An 'Advent Concert' featuring words and music from local artists and performers is being held in aid of Kairos Arts on Saturday 2 December at the St Helier Methodist Centre.
Kairos Arts is a Jersey-registered charity offering therapeutic arts programmes and workshops to vulnerable people in Jersey, Bolivia and India.
In Jersey, the charity works particularly with women and children, those recovering from trauma, domestic violence and abuse and young people with mental health concerns.

Kairos Arts' founder, actress Cathy Sara, will perform a range of readings including Bible passages and comedic festive poems at tonight's event.
She will be joined on stage by local choir Amity Singers, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year.
The choir will perform Christmas songs from across the ages and around the world – including France, Wales and Spain – with the global element of the evening reflecting the international perspective of the charity.
Cathy said: “Towards the end of the concert, I’ll be sharing the exciting news about our visit to Bolivia in March 2024, following an invitation to work with a project called ‘Project Suma’ which supports sexually exploited women and their families."

There will also be an opportunity to buy gifts from a selection of artisan ethically sourced products made by women the charity works with in India and Bolivia.
“These are products which are made and sold as part of so-called ‘freedom’ industries which enable vulnerable women to create better lives for their families and communities," explained Cathy.
The Advent Concert will be held at the St Helier Methodist Centre tonight from 19:45.
Doors open at 19:00. Tickets are priced at £15 and will be available on the door.
