Two Liberation Brewery beers - Liberation Ale and Liberation IPA – have won gold at the British Bottlers Institute Awards.
The awards are judged on a blind tasting of bottled beers entered by brewers from all over the country, including some of the top names in the industry.
Tim Hubert, Managing Director of Liberation Brewery said "This is a fantastic result for our bottled beers, especially looking at the level of competition that we were up against. It is even more pleasing because this is one of the first brews of IPA from our new Liberation 2 plant at Longueville in Jersey. Yet again the Channel Islands have shown they can punch well above their weight in a highly competitive market."
Ed Binstead, President of the BBI said, "Once again we were overwhelmed with the huge number of entrants into the awards and the high quality of all the drinks. The judges were very impressed with every entry and it was remarked how difficult it was to choose the winners. Congratulations to everyone who entered but especially to our gold medallists."
The winners will be presented their medals and certificates at the annual BBI dinner being held on Thursday 3rd November at Vintners' Hall, London.
