A Jersey-based videographer has taken home the top honour at the regional finals of the Wedding Industry Awards, setting her on course for a national title.

Becky Kinross of 'Films About Love' was named South Central Videographer of The Year at the regional finals this week.

In January, the Jersey-based wedding videographer will head to the national finals in London.

Becky said the award had given her a "great boost in confidence" after "a challenging few years starting and navigating a business through Covid and its aftershocks".

She went full-time with her videography business, Films About Love, in 2020 and now creates wedding films for loved-up couples in the Channel Islands and the south of the UK.

Speaking about the client-voted awards, Becky said they were an "opportunity to meet fellow wedding and events suppliers and to feel part of a very supportive community".

She added: "I feel very blessed to be part of an amazing network of industry professionals in the Channel Islands that all champion and encourage each other.

"It's all about our clients at the end of the day and providing the best service we can.

"I just want to thank everyone that voted for me and supported me, it has given me a great boost as we head into 2024."

The Wedding Industry Awards is the regional and national client-voted awards in the UK wedding industry.

It was established in 2011 to recognise and reward excellence in the UK wedding industry and to help anyone organising a wedding find the best suppliers.
