A 25-year-old construction worker has admitted causing thousands of pounds worth of damage when he broke into the Royal Court on Christmas Eve last year.
Gage James Saville was this week brought back to the court where he admitted to breaking the building’s windows, criminally entering it with the intention of committing a crime and damaging an “historic chair” and a glass display case.
Saville was represented by Advocate Julia-Anne Dix, who entered ‘guilty’ pleas to all three charges on his behalf.
The defence lawyer also made a bail application which was ultimately refused by the Court.

Crown Advocate Emma Hollywood, prosecuting, asked that the case be adjourned until Saville is sentenced on 24 April.
Deputy Bailiff Robert MacRae was presiding, accompanied by Jurats Jane Ronge and Pamela Pitman.
The defendant was remanded in custody to await his sentencing date.
