A 50-year-old man has appeared in Jersey's Magistrate's Court to face two charges of grave and criminal assault, and biting a police officer.
Shawn Le Lay appeared before Magistrate Peter Harris yesterday charged with four offences, all alleged to have taken place on 6 August at an apartment in St Helier.
The alleged offences were two counts of grave and criminal assault, as well as one count of biting a police officer, and one count of malicious damage.
He was defended by Duty Advocate Nicholas Mière.
Mr Le Lay will appear in Court again on 23 August, before his committal date to the Royal Court on 20 September. He's been remanded in custody.
