23-year-old charged with rape

A 23-year-old man has appeared in Jersey’s Magistrate’s Court charged with the rape of a 24-year-old woman.

Manuel Ricardo Dos Ramos Aguilar is accused of committing the offence against Miss X at a premises in St. Helier on 15 October 2017.

Following his appearance in the Magistrate's Court on Wednesday morning, he was released on bail.

Mr Dos Ramos Aguilar will have to report to the police station twice a week, must continue to live at the address he has given the court, can’t leave the island, and must have no contact - direct or indirect - with a list of witnesses.
