A 29-year-old man will face the Royal Court later this year after being charged with grave and criminal assault, affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
Robert Adrian Canavan appeared in the Magistrate's Court yesterday.
The three charges relate to alleged incidents which took place on Sunday at Wellington Park Estate in St. Saviour.
The Magistrate's Court deemed the case too serious to be heard there and referred it to the Royal Court.
Mr Canavan is now due to be indicted in the Royal Court in November.
He has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
