Man to face trial for assault

Sunday 15 July 2018

A 38-year-old man is due to face trial for an alleged grave and criminal assault, the Royal Court has heard.

Jonathan Robert Aubert has been remanded in custody until a date is fixed for his trial.

The incident is alleged to have taken place in February of this year at the Green Rooster Pub in St. Helier.

Defence Advocate Luke Sette made no application for bail on behalf of Mr Aubert, who will therefore be remanded in custody until a hearing on 9 August where a trial date will be fixed.

Deputy Bailiff Tim Le Cocq QC was sitting with Jurats Charles Blampied and Pam Pitman.

Once the date is fixed, the trial is due to last one to two days.
