A man in his 40s was left with “minor injuries” after being struck by a van while he was crossing the road.

The hit happened around 15:30 on Friday outside Checkers Xpress at First Tower.

Police said that the van was one of two that had been parked outside the store. As the man crossed the road towards Hansford Lane, it hit and injured him.

The driver then got out of the car to speak to him.

Police now wish to speak with the man, and are asking him to come forward. They are also seeking further information on the crash, and urge witnesses to get in contact on 612612 or make an anonymous report via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or online.
