A man was spat at and punched near Liberation Station last Friday after he allegedly tried to stop a group of youths from assaulting another man, the police have said.
The incident took place around 19:00 on Friday 30 October in Liberation Station.
The police says that a man was allegedly assaulted by a group of youths in the station at stand G.
Whilst he was on the floor, another man intervened and was then spat at by members of the group. The second man ran after them but was punched in the face by one of the boys in the group.
He suffered injuries and lost a front tooth crown in the process, but did not require hospital treatment.
The first victim is yet to be traced and Police are appealing for this man and anyone who saw this happen to come forward with information.
The group of youths are described as all boys in dark clothing while the main instigator was described as 6’ tall with a "mop of curly hair".
