A 54-year-man who was reported missing on Wednesday has been found.
In a tweet the police say “Thanks for all that have shared and provided us with information on Craig, we have now managed to locate him.”
No other information has been released.
The last sighting of Craig Griffin was on Wednesday in the Colombus Street area. On Friday morning, police said they were concerned for his welfare and were using all the tools they had – including drones – to search for him.
His partner Carole Willoughby, also issued a heartfelt appeal on social media.
She wrote: "My heart is breaking and this is a living nightmare. PLEASE share and share any information issued by the police on my partner Craig Griffin, including this post. I feel he is in an obscure place so not going to be easily found. My brain hurts trying to think where he could have gone so if anyone that knows him has ANY idea where he might have aimed for then please let me or the police know.
"Craig can walk for miles so he could be anywhere on the Island. I need him to walk back through our door safe and sound."
