Today sees the start of more than a month of traffic hold-ups for residents and commuters between town and the east of the Island.
Green Road will be completely closed from the traffic lights at Plat Douet Road and St Clement's Inner Road for six weeks as Jersey Electricity continue with preparations for a new cable from France.
The 1A bus stops will be moved to Plat Douet and Greve D'Azètte.
As part of the same works, there will be traffic restrictions from Wednesday at Grève D'Azètte for six weeks. The road will be open to traffic heading into town before 9.30 am, closed for most of the day, opening eastbound only after 3 pm and then to traffic going in both directions after 6 pm. Bus services won't be affected.
The road between La Rue des Pres Trading Estate and Le Chemin du Radier will be closed weekdays from 9.15 am to 6 pm for resurfacing until 4 February.
The eastbound slip road from Castle Street roundabout to La Route de la Libération is closed for essential cable laying until 17 January. Diversion signs are posted.
The road between Rue des Huriaux and Rue du Moulin is closed today only from 9 am til 4 pm for the installation of a new water service to La Butiere.
There are still delays at peak times as work to the rock faces on Le Mont Félard continues. Temporary traffic lights are in operation between La Route de St Aubin and Rue de Bas until 17 January.
There will be access to premises at all times.
