Jersey Police say more tests are being carried out after the "unexpected" death of a six-week-old baby but they don't believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
They say a post-mortem has been carried out on the baby who tragically died last Friday in the early hours of the morning.
They were called out after the Ambulance Service responded to a 999 call at an address in St Lawrence where the baby was in distress.
The baby was taken to hospital where it was pronounced dead.
Specialist Family Liaison Officers have been supporting the family.
A file is being prepared for the Deputy Viscount.
