A motorcyclist needed to be treated in hospital after a crash at Sand Street left him trapped between his motorbike and a bicycle rack yesterday.

Members of the public rushed to help the rider following his accident, which saw the red motorcycle hit a stationary silver Renault Clio outside the Airtel shop by the unloading bay at around 16:00.

Police reported: “The rider was taken to hospital as a result of a medical matter that is believed to have been the cause of the collision.

They added that he remains in the hospital.
