M&S Home on the move

Sunday 17 April 2016

M&S is moving out of Liberty Wharf later this year and will be re-homed in the main store in King Street when their range of Home products should be available for us to order online too.

Sandpiper are now looking for another retailer to rent the space alongside the likes of Moss Bros, George, Costa Coffee and the Cornish Bakery.

Sandpiper’s CEO Tony O’Neill said: “We have been in negotiation for some time with M&S PLC to allow islanders to order products via the Internet. We are well aware that once M&S online shopping becomes available to islanders, we will no longer need such a large floor area for our Home products.

"We are also delighted that islanders will have access to the full range of Home products either via our flagship King Street store, or online.

"This move will not affect our other stores trading in Liberty Wharf which includes: George, Moss Bros, Costa Coffee and the Cornish Bakery."

No job redundancies are expected in the move.
