Police continue investigations into 'suspicious death'

Police say post-mortem examinations by a UK Home Office pathologist on the body of a woman who was found dead Tuesday morning in a premises in St Helier are taking longer than expected.

They're hoping to issue an update later this morning.

Meanwhile, a 58-year-old man, who is believed to have known the victim, remains in custody and is being questioned by the Police. 

The body was found Tuesday morning around 10:49 at a flat in Victoria Street, after a call was made to the Ambulance service.

The incident is being led by Senior Investigating Officer (SIO), DCI Alison Fossey.
