A new St Aubin bistro promising regular live music is still on track to open within weeks after getting a key approval from the parish assembly.
The Slip will operate from the former Nude Food site at La Haule, after La Haule Manor purchased the site last month.
The Parish of St Brelade recently approved the bistro's application for an alcohol license, which will now be recommended to the licensing assembly for consideration.
Hotel manager, Rafal Feliniak, said the new eatery would keep the same style and feel of the former restaurant.
He added that he expected to share more details when the opening date was announced, though the team have already teased "the most succulent ribs, prawns, burgers, and even oysters on a sunny day", as well as live music ranging from "soulful live loungers to smooth jazz, and even monthly summer DJ sets".
Last November, the founders of Nude Food suddenly announced that the hospitality business had ceased trading, saying that “tireless” efforts to secure further investment had been unsuccessful.
Hotel plans to reopen Nude Food as affordable bistro this summer
