The Jersey FA has teamed up with a leading security company to make sure a much sought after trophy is in safe hands ahead of the 100th Muratti next year.

G4S have agreed to keep watch over the vase before the big match on home soil in May, as well as providing match day security.

Jersey FA Chief Executive Officer Neville Davidson said: "We are pleased to announce the partnership with G4S, ahead of the 100th Muratti. G4S recognise the significance of the Muratti in the Jersey community and have provided excellent facilities to maintain the safety of the trophy. We look forward to working with G4S in the future."

G4S Director Simon Haywood said: "The Muratti trophy has a proud history in the Channel Islands and we are delighted to be a part of this tradition."

Jersey will be looking for a Muratti double again next May after the Men's team beat the Sarnians this year for the first time since 2011 and Jersey's women had their sixth successive vase victory.
